The Envirocycle Composting Bin is the perfect urban gardening solution. Why do I say that? Simple. The main problem with composting is that in most cases the composting bin sits way in the back corner of the yard because it's usually unsightly and smelly right?

On the other hand, if I needed to make more compost, I would buy a few of these rather than try to turn over a bigger pile. I have a really bad back and this is no strain on me at all.

I looked at the one that Costco is pushing hard and the big difference ( aside from that one being more expensive) was that it was difficult to roll on the ground- I don't want to deal with that, plus how do you get it back up on the stand? Using a rotating compost bin has many advantages over conventional ugly backyard composters.

First is Composting Speed - By rotating the contents consistently you encourage bacteria growth and introduce much needed oxygen into the composter which helps break down the material faster then you otherwise could if you just let the pile rot all on its own.

Less Work Involved - Most people when they first try to get into composting find the excitement of recycling and using rich organic compost is quickly waned by the fact that it takes work. Yes work, You have to always work your compost pile and rotate the contents. I definitely wanted the convenience of something that allowed for easy turning, as I'm not about to use a pitch fork. This product works very well... It's easy to turn every few days... Basically, every few months I scoop out a five gallon bucket worth of compost and dump it in my vegetable garden. The "compost tea" feature is great. I've filled that same five gallon bucket with a mix of compost tea and water and used it in the garden. Works great. We're very happy with this product."
